COOKIES POLICY (extended information)
WHAT ARE COOKIES
Cookies are small text files that the sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same sites on the next visit. The cookies of the so-called "third parties" are, however, set by a website other than the one the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc.) that reside on servers other than that of the site visited.
WHAT ARE COOKIES FOR?
Cookies are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information on specific configurations regarding users who access the server, storing preferences, etc.
TYPES OF COOKIES
Cookies are divided into two macro-categories: "technical" cookies and "profiling" cookies. Technical cookies These are cookies that are used to navigate or provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner. Without the use of these cookies, some operations could not be carried out or would be more complex and/or less secure, such as home banking activities (viewing the account statement, bank transfers, payment of bills, etc.), for such as cookies, which allow the user to be identified and maintained within the session, are essential. Profiling cookies Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user when browsing the internet.Session Cookies Among the technical cookies there are session cookies which are stored on the user's computer for mere technical-functional needs, for the transmission of session identifiers necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site; they are deleted at the end of the "session" (hence the name) by closing the browser. This type of cookie avoids the use of other IT techniques that are potentially detrimental to the privacy of users' browsing.Persistent Cookies Instead of disappearing when you close your browser, as is the case with session cookies, persistent cookies expire on a specific date or after a specific period of time. This means that, for the entire lifespan of the cookie (which can be long or short depending on the expiry date decided by its creators), its information will be transmitted to the server every time the user visits the website, or every time the user views a resource belonging to that site from another site (for example an advertisement). For this reason, persistent cookies can be used by advertisers to record information about a user's web browsing habits over an extended period of time. However, they are also used for "legitimate" reasons (such as keeping users registered in their accounts on the websites, in order to avoid having to enter credentials to access the websites at each visit).Third Party Cookies Cookies stored on behalf of third parties and can themselves be session or persistent.
COOKIES USED BY THIS SITE
No cookies are used to profile users, nor are other tracking methods used. Instead, technical cookies are used - by the aforementioned data controller - in a manner strictly limited to what is necessary for safe and efficient navigation of the sites. All technical cookies do not require consent, therefore they are installed automatically following access to the site.
CHECK AND DELETE COOKIES
If you wish to change the way your browser uses cookies, or block or delete cookies from this site (or any other site), you can do so by changing your browser settings. In order to monitor cookies, most browsers allow the user to accept or reject all of them, accept only some types or will ask each time if you want to save a cookie from a particular site. It is equally easy to delete cookies that have already been saved by the browser on your device. The process for controlling and deleting cookies varies depending on the browser used. To find out how to do this with a particular browser, you can use the “Help” function in your browser menu. To limit the receipt of cookies through your browser you can visit the following sites to understand how to prevent your device from receiving cookies (depending on the browser you use):Internet Explorer https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/help/17442/windows-internet-explorer-delete-manage-cookies Google Chrome https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/61416?hl=it Mozilla Firefox https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/protezione-antitracciamento-avanzata-firefox-desktop?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Enabling+and+disabling+cookies Safari https://www.apple.com/it/legal/privacy/
